The environmental journey of Noordbeek Certification is deeply rooted in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During this foundational period, our founder Ronald Paans personally planted approximately 3,000 in the Dutch Green Heart (Groene Hart) region. Over the decades, this initiative has matured into a thriving, high-value forest spanning more than 2.5 hectares, which Noordbeek continues to actively manage, fund, and protect.

This mature woodland serves as a critical sanctuary for a rich variety of native bird species, insects, and regional wildlife. Promoting biodiversity remains a central pillar of our management strategy. Alongside native tree varieties, we have integrated diverse fruit-bearing trees to guarantee natural, year-round food sources for the local fauna across all seasons.

Ecological Stewardship in Witoszyce, Poland

In a continuous effort to expand our ecological impact, Noordbeek has established a major nature development project in Witoszyce, Poland. Working hand-in-hand with local stakeholders and community partners, we are developing and preserving an additional 2.5 hectares of dedicated forest and natural habitat.

This international conservation initiative is specifically designed to bolster local biodiversity, provide nesting grounds for wild birds and insects, and naturally capture carbon dioxide CO2 from the atmosphere. By systematically planting regional trees, native shrubs, and resilient vegetation, we actively restore degraded landscapes and secure a healthier environment for generations to come.

Cumulative Environmental Performance

Combined, our dedicated projects in the Netherlands and Poland encompass approximately 5 hectares of strictly protected forest and natural reserves developed with the direct support of Noordbeek. These ecological zones provide continuous natural carbon storage CO2 sequestration, preserve vulnerable ecosystems, and foster vital migratory connections within the wider European landscape.
